Quanticel's proprietary platform for single-cell, genomic analysis of human cancer is based on the work of founders Stephen Quake, PhD and Michael Clarke, MD, both Stanford professors. Quanticel scientists combine insights in tumor heterogeneity with single-cell bioengineering to discover first-in-class oncology drug candidates.
Proven Management
Along with its scientific founders, Quanticel has assembled a veteran management team that includes Stephen Kaldor, PhD (CEO) and Jeffrey Stafford, PhD (CSO), each of whom has discovered FDA-approved drugs and contributed to high-value liquidity events. The company was incubated and is financed by top-tier Bay Area investor Versant Ventures.
Strategic Partnerships
Quanticel has entered into a broad-based, oncology R&D collaboration with Celgene Corporation, during which Quanticel will identify predictive biomarkers for Celgene’s investigational drugs and identify novel drug targets.
